Scope

This specification covers Type TECK 90 armored cable manufactured with soft annealed copper conductors or AA-8000 series aluminum alloy conductors.
The conductors are insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and individually protected by an inner PVC jacket, an overall interlocked aluminum alloy armor, and an outer PVC jacket.

TECK 90 cable is designed to provide superior mechanical protection, moisture resistance, and chemical resistance, and is manufactured in accordance with applicable CSA standards for armored power and control cables.

Application

TECK 90 cable is intended for use as power, control, and auxiliary circuit cable in industrial, commercial, and institutional installations, especially in harsh or demanding environments.

  The cable shall be legibly marked with conductor size (AWG or kcmil), cable type (TECK 90), rated voltage, temperature rating, manufacturer’s name, applicable CSA standard, date of manufacture, and sequential footage marking.
