Scope

This specification covers lightweight aluminum interlocked armor Type MC cable manufactured with soft annealed copper or AA-8000 series aluminum alloy conductors. The insulated conductors are PVC/nylon Type THHN/THWN singles, in compliance with UL Standard 1569.UL File No.: E313205.

Application

Type MC (Metal-Clad) cables are suitable for branch circuits, feeders, and service power distribution in commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-residential buildings.

They may be used for:

• Power, lighting, control, and signal circuits
• Indoor or outdoor installations
• Exposed or concealed wiring
• Cable tray or raceway applications

THHN/THWN conductors are rated 90℃ dry / 75℃ wet, with a voltage rating of 600V.
