Scope

This specification covers Type AC90 armored cable manufactured with soft annealed copper conductors or AA-8000 series aluminum alloy conductors.
The cable is insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and protected by an interlocked aluminum alloy armor, designed in compliance with applicable CSA standards for building wire and armored cable construction.

The cable is suitable for dry locations and is designed to provide excellent mechanical protection and electrical performance.

Application

AC90 cable is intended for use as branch circuit, feeder, and service conductors in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings, where mechanical protection is required.
